Thaiventure Chronicles: Part 2
Time moves so slowly under water, 30 min felt like 5 down below. It’s crazy to think there’s a completely different ecosystem under these calm waters going to its own beat.
Ko Tao provided me my first scuba diving experience which offered me a glimpse into an unworldly setting. Time moves so slowly under water, 30 min felt like 5 down below. It’s crazy to think there’s a completely different ecosystem under these calm waters going to its own beat. Having been able to witness it first hand is a gift I will never forget. Towards the end when the rain was pouring down, you sought refuge under the water because the surface acted as almost a barrier to the monsoon like weather. Once you went under you were no longer cold or distraught but subjected to a host of new sensations. I will surely be back to experience some of the best diving there is.
Having just experienced the most memorable New Years celebration at the full moon party witnessing the greatest gathering of youth and exuberance I’ve ever witnessed it’s nice to have visited the small island of railay for a change of pace. This little island is sheer beauty. We got the opportunity to climb up the steepest trail I’ve ever been on with an unbelievable payoff; the ability to set my gaze on the blue lagoon.
This hidden gem in the heart of the island was more than worth the treacherous journey that made it all the more worth while. The islands of Thailand all present their own marvels and beauties which are so intoxicating I can’t help but want to delve deeper into what this marvellous country has to offer.
