Wow, Bali is continuing to amaze me and steal my heart everyday. What an amazing week we have had in Ubud and Canggu.
Ubud was full of action, we started our first day off by going on a 2 hour off-road bike riding tour through the jungle and rice fields. So tiring (and a few bruises) but absolutely awesome experience, some of the girls wanted to go again! The action continued the next day with white water rafting that included a 45 degree drop! So much fun and beautiful scenery, it felt like we were in Jurassic park. Once we got home we all went to bed super early because we had to leave at 1am to hike Mount Batur for sunrise. Hiking Mount Batur at 2:30am in complete darkness was absolutely one of the hardest things I've ever done but so completely worth it for the amazing view of the sunrise. It took 2 hours to climb to the top and 2 hours to climb down after the sun rose. You can imagine we are all pretty exhausted after that and we all passed out in the car ride home, Petty took some pretty funny/embarrassing pictures of us sleeping.
After we got some sleep we had to say goodbye to Ubud and hello to Canggu. On the way to Canggu we stopped at the rice fields and took some pictures. Once we got to Canggu we settled in to the new hotel and literally started a game of beer pong within an hour. That night we went to the coolest club I've ever been to called Pretty Poison, it literally has a skateboard ramp in the middle of it. Such a good time. Canggu is the coolest little hipster town I fell in love with everything there it was so unique and never a dull moment. Everyday we spent there I liked it even more, I would totally move there I was honestly pretty sad to leave.
We arrived to Gili Air last night and so far it seems just as wonderful as the rest of Bali has been, today we went snorkelling and did a beach cleanup to do our part and try to make a difference no matter how small it may be, other people joined in to help us which was great, hopefully we inspired others to help out the earth as well. Now I'm chilling out in the hammock on the porch of my little villa waiting for supper time, could not be more relaxing. Tonight we're going to see the Gili Air swings, you know, the ones you see all the Instagram pictures of? Can't wait!
