Canggu - our next travel destination. We were surrounded by great places to eat, cute stores to shop in and plenty of fascinating architecture.
The first day that we were there, the group was taken to a jewelry store where we got to look at gorgeous pieces of handmade jewelry. It all was unbelievably stunning. Watching people actually carve the jewelry by hand was mind blowing. Following that, we explored one of the largest rice fields I have ever seen in my life. As we walked through the fields, we learned the process of how the fields are prepped and how to grow rice properly.
Our second day in Canggu was the pool party day. We went to this incredible beach side lounge that had an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. We all ate, drank and swam the day away without a single worry in our minds. The weather was perfect that day as well so we could not have been any luckier. Everything was absolutely brilliant. I could not have asked for a better day with my travel family.
As our final goodbye to Canggu, we all packed in the van and drove out to this magnificent waterfall for a swim. The water was ice cold and refreshing in contrast to the warm sun. It was exactly what everyone needed that morning.
In the early afternoon, we had lunch all together. When we were just about to get back in the bus to go to our next stop of the day, we noticed people across the street with all these exotic animals. Immediately, two of us ran across the street to have the opportunity to see them. Not only did we get to see them, but we even had the chance to have the python slither around our shoulders and arms. Another member of my tour even got to have a mongoose ride his shoulders and it constantly kept kicking his head. It was incredibly random, but so amazing.
Following that, we all packed back into the bus and headed towards another temple. The temple, Ulun Danu Beratan, is the one that is located on the water. Gorgeous flower beds lined the edge of the water and the sea surrounded the temple, making it undeniably breathtaking. Seeing that temple made our last day in Canggu so memorable and wonderful.

My name is Daria Patterson and I am from British Columbia, Canada. I am twenty years old and currently work as a part time legal office assistant while I am working towards completing a degree in counselling psychology. This trip will be the first time that I have ever been travelling as a solo traveler so I am nervous, but indescribably excited. I originally was going to be travelling with a group of friends, but they unfortunately could not make it in the end. I did not want to deprive myself of such a remarkable experience so I took the risk and went ahead with booking the trip myself. I could not be more thrilled with my decision to do so. This truly is the trip of a lifetime for me so there was no way that I could possibly justify turning this opportunity down. My one piece of advice would be to take the plunge and just book the trip while you still can. The memories will be worth it, trust me.
