HANGING AT THE LBW HOMESTAY!
I am back to the cyber world after being away from it for 3 days while at the Krabi Homestay and I will admit it was kind of nice being disconnected from the world for a little bit….
The homestay was amazing!! Probably one of my favourite parts of the tour so far. Rong, the owner, is a funny man who always keeps the parties going. I cannot wait to come back to his home as well as his mom’s delicious cooking when I go back there for the Yogalife tour at the end of this month.
While at the homestay we went on an amazing kayaking trip in the ocean and through the mangrove trees (trees that grow from under the water) as well as saw a beautiful waterfall that we got to swim around in (picture below) after a little harder than expected tek through the jungle.
We also got to learn about how palm oil is made as well how they make rubber from the rubber trees which seemed easier than I expected.
After we finished what felt like a never ending bus ride for 16hours (we got caught in a traffic jam due to flooding for 2 hours) we made it to Kanchanaburi. Since we got here a little later than planned we went to the war museum and learned more about World War II and then went to a steak house for supper which turned into a karaoke bar at night. Everyone got up and sang a song whether they were good singers or not hehe. Next up ELEPHANTS tomorrow!! The moment I have been waiting for this whole trip. ☺
