I'm a firm believer in positive energy, and having a grateful heart. I believe everything happens for a reason, even if we don't always know what that reason is, and yes - even when it hurts.

I believe the bad times make us stronger, and the good times remind us how much we have to be thankful for.

During my travels, I've enjoyed the unknown - and have embraced the opportunities I've been given.

I have taken the time to reflect, realizing how far I've come, what I've survived, and I couldn't be more thankful for the life I live today. To my family and friends, you mean the world to me. To strangers becoming family, and to those I haven't met yet - I look forward to sharing the journey with you.

As I travel, I see both worlds.  I see the beauty surrounding me, but I also see those struggling to make ends meet.  I see smiling faces, but I also see stray animals barely surviving. I see festivities, but I also see workers from dawn to dusk.

The more I travel, the more grateful I become. Gratitude really does go a long way.

I am thankful for so many things, far too many to name - but my travels have surely reminded me how grateful I am for the things we so often take for granted: Family and friends, Clean drinking water and food, Restrooms and toilet paper (as cool as squatting over holes in the ground and bum guns are, I appreciate a comfy toilet and a comfy roll of tissue), Shoes, Clothing, Stability (work, living, etc.), Communication (hearing, speaking, etc.), Shelter, Washing machines and dryers, and freedom. Though I could name over a thousand things I'm thankful for - my journey has reminded me to give thanks daily - especially for the things we take for granted like the above.

When was the last time you said thank you?  When was the last time you gave thanks for what you have?  When was the last time you created a list of things you're thankful for?

As I travel, the more thankful I am. The more thankful I am, the more blessed I am. The more blessed I am, the more I can bless others.

Always remember the little things. Be thankful for what you have. It's the little things that mean the most.

Today, take some time to give thanks and realize how blessed you are.
